The teaching staff at the Polish School has always been created by people who are very dedicated to the idea of teaching and raising children in the spirit of Polishness.

Among them are both teachers with educational preparation as well as people who do not have such preparation but want to help in working with children and youth. These people can count on the help of more experienced colleagues and the support of the school management.

At the same time, the school strives to create opportunities for our teachers to participate.

Our teachers regularly participate in reunions of Polish Teachers held every two years in the USA, taking part in workshops and lectures conducted by specialists invited from Poland and from the Polish community in the USA.

Our school has maintained excellent relations with state educational units in Poland such as the Center for the Development of Polish Education Abroad or the educational division of the Institute of National Remembrance. This cooperation results in visits of the representatives of these institutions at the Polish Saturday School in Minneapolis and gives our teachers the opportunity to take advantage of lectures organized especially for them here on site in our city. It allows them to improve educational knowledge in the field of modern teaching methods and work with children for whom the language of Polish is a second language of communication.

Our students have continuous access to modern educational games that facilitate the learning of the Polish language and history.Teachers, Board of Directors, and Members of PSS Minneapolis believe that all children:

Teachers, Board of Directors, and Members of PSS Minneapolis believe that all children:

  • have the energy and ability to learn
  • are curious and creative
  • can succeed in learning

There are no identical students. They all are unique. That is why we try to adjust the curriculum to the individual capabilities of our students. Learning at PSS Minneapolis is a combination of face-to-face teaching, participation in cultural events and creative groups of singing and acting.
