Polish Saturday School in Minneapolis is looking for at least two Polish language teachers for the year 2023/2024. In the new school year, the youngest group (currently children aged 2 to 5) will be divided into two separate groups and the new teacher will be assigned to the newly created unit. An additional teacher will also be needed for one of the older groups of students (10-12 years old). The main requirement for potential candidates is primarily knowledge of the Polish language. CAMP 2023! We open registration!
Dear Parents! We are pleased to announce that we are opening registration for BIWAK (Camp) 2023, one of the most popular events at the Polish School. This year’s camp will take place between May 26th and 29th (Memorial Day Weekend) at Sibley State Park in Minnesota. Trip to Polish Cultural Institute and Museum in Winona (Update!)
TRIP TO WINONA (UPDATED!) – due to the low interest in going to Winona by bus, we had to modify the itinerary. The tour will take place on October 1st (Sunday), 2023, but enrolled families will have to reach their destination on their own. On April 1st, Easter workshops will be conducted at the school by Mrs. Alena, a specialist in decorating Easter eggs, using various methods. Children will learn the history of Easter eggs and will have the opportunity to make Easter eggs by any methods. In parallel with the workshops, children will also be able to make Easter palms. On March 25, a recitation competition will take place at the Polish School. This year’s literary patrons of the competition are Aleksander Fredro and Wisława Szymborska. We encourage students to recite the works of the above authors. Children from the youngest group, due to their age, can recite their favorite poem, it does not necessarily have to be the work of Fredro or Szymborska. You can perform in groups, individually, as well as in pairs, e.g. siblings.
